✦ The GOVOZY Manifesto · 196 Countries · Direct Travel ✦
Travel was always meant to be human.
Somewhere along the way, it became an algorithm.
GOVOZY exists to return travel to the people who know a place by heart. We bring licensed local guides and professional tour leaders into one dedicated, world-class space — giving travelers, tour operators and DMCs direct access to authentic local expertise in every country, while guides keep 100% of their earnings.
Chapter I · The Traveler
Booking a guide should never be a blind gamble.
Good guides are everywhere. The problem is that travelers meet them for the first time on the morning of the tour — when it is already too late to discover they were the wrong match.
"We needed energy. We got a lecture."
A couple arrives at the Colosseum with two children, aged seven and ten. They hoped for a young, lively storyteller who could turn gladiators into a game.
The portal sent a distinguished scholar of sixty-eight — brilliant, deeply knowledgeable, and exactly wrong for that morning. Within twenty minutes the children were restless, and the day the family had saved for became a day of stress.
"If only we had seen his profile, and spoken to him for two minutes before we came."
"We came for urban history. We got souvenir stops."
A professor brings a university group to study post-war planning and Cold War architecture. They needed a guide with a real background in modern history and design.
The agency sent a pleasant, general city guide. The students' technical questions went unanswered, and a carefully planned academic trip became an ordinary city walk.
"We never had the right to see the guide's specialization before we paid."
Chapter II · The Tour Operator
Four cities. Three countries. Fifty phone calls.
A European DMC receives a twelve-day luxury itinerary for a private group: Paris → Lucerne → Florence → Rome. Each city needs a different kind of expert.
Every city, a new search.
- Paris — a guide who can host private art collectors at the Louvre.
- Lucerne — an active, certified guide for alpine trails.
- Florence — an accredited Renaissance art historian.
- Rome — a protocol-aware specialist for the Vatican.
Days pass in old WhatsApp groups, forwarded numbers and freelance agencies, each adding its own margin.
Hoping, instead of knowing.
Who holds an official license? Is the Spanish truly fluent? Has this person ever handled a VIP group? Nobody can say for certain — the operator relies on photocopies and promises.
"The guests land in the morning, and we are praying the guide matches the standard we promised."
Chapter III · The Local Guide
A master of the city. Invisible to the world.
Reduced to a nameless resource.
A licensed guide speaks four languages, knows every street of the old city and has led diplomatic delegations. On the large booking platforms, their name is often hidden — travelers book a product, not a person.
On every tour, 25–30% of the price can go to the middle, while the hours in the sun and the rain belong to the guide.
A website costs thousands. Visitors never come.
A personal website means designers, hosting and search optimisation — expensive, technical, and usually unseen. A paper résumé travels nowhere.
"I am my city's best ambassador, yet the internet does not know my name."
Why GOVOZY Exists
Three broken worlds. One honest bridge.
Travel should never be a blind gamble. Sourcing should never be a panic. Expertise should never be invisible.
The Resolution
How GOVOZY solves it.
Our Principles
Direct. Unfiltered. Dignified.
Direct Connection
Travelers speak directly with the professional who will walk beside them. No call centres, no hidden layers.
Economic Respect
Guides keep 100% of their earnings. What a traveler pays for a guide's expertise belongs to the guide.
Curated Excellence
GOVOZY is not an open notice board. Every profile is reviewed by hand before it is published.
For the Profession
A lasting identity, worthy of the work.
An experienced guide should not need an expensive personal website or a folded résumé. A GOVOZY profile is a permanent, professional home — credentials, languages, specialities and stories in one place — that a guide can share with travelers, embassies and agencies with quiet pride.
The Standard
Trust is earned before a profile is seen.
Each application is reviewed personally: identity, professional credentials where the region requires them, and the details a guide shares about their work. Only then does a profile go live. We would rather grow slowly than publish someone we cannot stand behind.
An invitation, not an advertisement.
If you are a traveler who values authenticity, we invite you to explore the network. If you are an exceptional guide or tour leader, we invite you to apply.
